Conference Theme: “Empowering Uganda’s Climate Champions: Financing, Advocacy, and Sustainable Action”
Date: 4th-6th, June 2025
We are excited to announce the Climate Action Financing and Advocacy Conference (CAFA2025) The three-day conference scheduled for 4th-6th June 2025 will bring together key stakeholders including; Climate Change experts, Government MDAs, CSOs, the Private Sector, and International Partners to discuss strategies, share knowledge, and develop actionable plans for climate resilience and sustainable development in Uganda.
Climate change has profound implications for Uganda’s socio-economic fabric, affecting sectors such as agriculture, water resources, and public health. The increasing frequency and severity of climate-related events, such as droughts, floods, and unpredictable rainfall patterns, exacerbate food insecurity and water scarcity. These challenges disproportionately impact the most vulnerable and marginalized populations including women, children and the elderly, making it imperative to adopt integrated and inclusive approaches to climate action.
The conference will not only highlight successful climate action models but also identify gaps and opportunities for enhanced cooperation and resource mobilization. Through collaborative efforts, the CAFA Conference aspires to catalyze transformative climate action, ensuring that Uganda is well-equipped to navigate the complexities of climate change and achieve its national development goals.
