Derrick Semukasa
Team Lead
Derrick Semukasa is a Development Practitioner with over eight years of experience in Monitoring and Evaluation, research, project planning and management, and grant writing for public and NGO projects. He specializes in developing proposals, budgets, evaluation designs, and data collection and analysis methodologies. Derrick has collaborated with prominent organizations such as the CDC, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, World Bank, and USAID on health, community empowerment, and health financing initiatives. His work with Uganda’s Ministry of Health includes utilizing various offline and online data management and visualization tools, training health workers, and supporting data analysis for health financing projects.
Derrick’s experience spans across Uganda, including conflict-affected regions like Acholi and Lango, where he has led evaluation projects and engaged with diverse stakeholders. He holds a Master of Public Health in Monitoring and Evaluation from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Development Studies from Kyambogo University.
